‘The Novel Coffee Shop’ opened it’s doors on Wednesday 11th April at 98 London Road! It offers a variety of freshly ground coffees, served by our barista trained staff, as well as a range of teas and of course homemade cakes. We’ve made it our mission to source the most delicious cakes, so be sure to pop in for a slice! Cream teas are also available and in the not too distant future afternoon teas too. Combine this with a browse around the shop for a book/DVD/Vinyl/CD.
There is outside seating that is available in the warmer weather, so come along and watch the world go by with tea/coffee, cake and a good book, what could be better? Or just grab a coffee/cake to takeaway! Our beautifully planned rustic venue is also available for hire to groups/clubs and for coffee mornings, book clubs etc, so please enquire if this could be of interest.
The most exciting prospect of our new project is the training and work placement opportunities it will provide for adults with learning disabilities. These opportunities are unfortunately few and far between, so we’re very proud to be able to offer this service. Pop in to see how our volunteers are doing and if their enthusiasm is anything to go by there are exciting times ahead!
If you have any good quality books, CDs and/or DVDs you wish to donate to the shop, then please bring them along so we can continue keeping the stock high and extensive.
Opening times are Monday-Saturday 9.30am-4pm and you can also find us on Facebook too by clicking the following link – The Novel Coffee Shop Facebook
