The society works in partnership with Trinity Family Centre to provide activities for adults with learning disabilities.
On Wednesday mornings, we provide sessions that encompass sports, arts and crafts and computer access. The sessions run from 9.30am to 12pm.
However, the sessions are not just for the students as their parents/carers are also welcome to attend whereby they can have some downtime with a tea/coffee and a biscuit while their cared for person is supported at the sessions by the staff and volunteers.
Sessions cost £5 per family and are based at The Trinity Church, Argyll Road, Westcliff in their fully accessible premises that caters for those with mobility issues and in wheelchairs as well as there is both a lift and wheelchair gate to allow anyone to access the sessions.
The club has been funded since 2012 by Southend Borough Council under our ongoing commissioning grant partnership that also sees several of Southend Mencap’s other clubs being funded too.
